I found it interesting that Saudi Arabia is planning to bid for the FIFA 2030 World Cup, jointly with Egypt and Greece as cost-hosts, in what would be its biggest ever sporting event on the global stage.
While the World Cup is a widely anticipated international sporting and social event, it has emerged as a major commercial phenomenon. FIFA World Cup tournaments have accelerated economic development of the host regions in the past, and they continue to have a positive long-term impact on host countries.
It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom will need more hotels and even temporary housing to accommodate the players as well as fans from other countries.
With the Kingdom's clear Vision 2030 for development and prosperity, I believe that it will have a great impact on the hospitality industry, as it will transfer it qualitatively in all aspects, especially with such an event that is held once every four years.
